Before putting naira into any fund, its fact sheet should let you answer these. Tick what you can actually find. Whatever stays unticked is a question worth asking, not a dealbreaker on its own.

What it invests inEquity, bonds, money market, or a mix. This one line decides most of the risk. Its benchmarkWhat it measures itself against, so its returns mean something next to the wider market. The feesThe yearly management fee, and any entry or exit charge. Small percentages compound over years. Top holdings and concentrationWhat it actually owns. If a few names dominate, the spread is narrower than "diversified" suggests. The minimumThe smallest amount to start, and whether you can add small top-ups later. Getting your money outHow long a withdrawal takes, and any lock-in or exit fee for leaving early. Who runs and holds itThe fund manager, and a separate custodian holding the assets. Separation is a good sign. That it is SEC registeredA licensed fund names its regulator. Cross-check the manager on the SEC register. Past performance, datedReturns with the years attached, shown as history and not a promise of what comes next.
